hello all, the word is that kevin will be in st charles until wed the 9th... after that he'll probably be going back to the nesconset nursing center. i'll post again when i find out more. -lisa

Hey everybody, It's been 402 days but Kevin is finally completely free of any machinery keeping him alive! He is no longer being tube fed, all of his meals are eaten. One giant step for Kevin. Love Laura
Hello all, went to visit Kevin on Tues,Nov. 8th, and this is what I know. Kevin IS eating and a happy camper at that. He has eaten chicken and mashed potatoes and continues to grow stronger each day. Although still on a limited diet, this is great improvement, especially being that this was one of the two things preventing him from going home. As for where Kevin is, he is still at St. Charles and his discharge date is yet to be determined....pending available beds at Nesconcet(most likely where he will return to upon discharge),etc. Kevin has made wonderful progress while at St.Charles but whether it has to do with there or whether it was just Kevin's time, we will never know. But who cares as long as he continues to improve. Kevin still enjoys visits and mail and the like so keep it coming. He misses hearing from everyone so if you leave a message on his cell, his mom will let him hear it. Now, St. Charles does not have internet but Nesconset does, so hopefully when he returns, he may be back online. Wouldnt that be fabulous?! Thats all I know but if any of you have updates, please post them. Many of us cant visit as often as we would like so we use this page to keep up so please post,post,post. Keep up the good work Kev!!!
Hello all.....just been informed from someone on the inside that Kevin will be discharged from St. Charles on Monday, Nov.14th back to Nesconset Nursing Home "until they find something else". I don't know what that last part means as this was a message left on my voicemail but I guess we will find out soon enough. Keep you posted if I find out anything more.....
